Chris Nelson was raised in Colorado where he received his BFA in sculpture at Colorado State University. Now based in Ashfield, Massachusetts, Nelson focuses on site-specific/responsive installation art. These pieces address the interaction between person and space, both on a physical and emotional level. His work has been viewed throughout Western Massachusetts with a focus in the industrial buildings of Holyoke, and in other locations in the United States and in Japan. Nelson has also worked as an educator, gallery director, and curator.
